Dr Carter is an amazing man. We have brought both of our family dogs to him. He fit in our dog Maxi due to a minor emergency and gave her extensive care despite being near closing hours. He is walking us through an extremely difficult diagnosis for our other dog as well. I highly recommend them and could not speak any more highly of the incredibly kind and caring staff.

I held back from leaving this review in an attempt to be understanding, but feel compelled to share after speaking to a colleague who had a similar experience with this clinic. In 2023 I brought my 10 month old kitten to Dr. Carter with symptoms of nasal congestion, cough, raspy breathing, lethargy, and weight loss. Dr. Carter treated him with antibiotics which helped the congestion but nothing else, and steroids which briefly helped his energy level. Dr. Carter insisted my cat was fine despite the fact that he had lost half his body weight and probably had feline herpes virus or kennel cough to cause the raspy breathing. I told him my cat would only eat 2 bites of kibble a day and he responded, "well, he's still eating so that's okay." I took my cat to an emergency vet where they placed a feeding tube immediately, drained fluid from around his lungs, and diagnosed him with FIP. My cat is healthy now after a long and harrowing journey, but I nearly lost him. I'm glad I sought emergency care and warn every cat owner I meet never to see Dr. Carter.
